This report provides data and analysis on the structure of the agri-food sector and supply chain in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), based on interviews with fourteen companies with contacts operating in different sectors of the supply chain. It will help companies determine the best method of entry for various products exported to the UAE market.

This report is divided in three sections that highlight the importance of communication and trust in this market. The first section presents a brief explanation of the UAE as a country and as a major business hub in the Middle East. The following two sections cover the distinct channels and the description of different players within the UAE supply chains. It also addresses the partnership expectations between the exporter, importer and the person making the final buying decision (henceforth referred to as the decision maker).
